the new Lifelines, I knew that from the start. Last year, whenever we went to a dock for fuel, water or lunch, I'd always ask to tie up for a few hours, plug in, and run the Battery Charger to top off the new batteries. In the Bahamas, they're pretty good about stuff like this, letting us leave the boat plugged in while we shopped, provisioned or just walked around for a few hours. I ran into a couple times when only a 50A service was available, so I did manage to find a new 50A to 30A adaptor on ebay this summer for $50. Being on the hook every night, this was the only way to top off, unless there was a long motor day, and we try not to do that ! Thanks Maine Sail, just moved a solar panel to the top of my list this fall ... where will I put it is the next big challenge. Cheers, John
