There aren't a lot of cruising locations to go anchor from within a day sail when compared with the Chesapeake or Maine. The Summers are pretty warm, the Fall and Spring weather is more moderate. The "Winter" months are generally more moderate that a bit farther north (except for this year ;^)))) ).
