The design and manufacturing of boards are not as widespread.

In the DC area you have jobs mostly in the Virginia suburbs -- but also in the NSA/NASA areas. Around Patuexant Air Station, there may be some positions.

Norfolk has the home of the Atlantic Fleet and it's attendant support functions.

The "Research Triangle" in North Carolina (but not to close to the coast) is another possiblity.

Charleston has Boeing?

Orlando and maybe Jacksonville are other posiblities.
