It doesn't make sense to me to base the ownership cost estimates on the purchase price. Most costs, like moorage, are based on the length and the cheaper boat of the same length will probably require more maintenance. Of course the insurance will partly be based on value.

That said, I agree that those costs seem mighty low. I pay $4000 for moorage alone on my 34.
