Southwest Harbor has three town docks...
In Response To: Actually ()

But non-fishers can only keep a dinghy at two of them. The Manset dock's dinghy floats are very poorly protected (open to the east) and dinghys get badly beat up there. Parking at Manset is limited to 8 hours and there are only about 10 spots - normally occupied by lobster fishers any time after about 6 AM. The other dock open to the general public is the upper town dock, which is well protected but VERY crowded with dinghys. Parking there is more abundant than at Manset, but also limited to 8 hours except for about 8 spaces with a 24 hour limit that you need a permit to use. There is long term parkling available next to the town office for $10 a night, but it is a good half mile from the dock.

I keep my dinghy at Hinckley Yachts where there is abundant no limit parking. You can even arrange to leave your car inside if you are going to be gone for more than a couple of nights
