In the last month I've talked to 10 different marinas in LA & San Diego. All except one had immediate space for our Caliber 40. Almost all the marinas said we could have our choice of several slips.

I told them it might be three months before we got there and they all said there was no need to go on a waiting list. There would be even more slips available in February than now.

Price for a 40' - 42' slip varied from $616/month at Pier 52(Brand new & luxurious in National City, south of the Coronado Bridge) to $810/month at Kona Kai on Shelter Island.

The live aboard fee for two of us varied between $250/month in Ventura to $500/month at Sun Road in San Diego.
