I think ours was about $1,000 for the 5000# chunck of granite, staple, chains, shackes, and stuff when we first got it 10+ years ago. Considering it cost $1800/year at the time for a slip, we considered it a pretty good deal 'cause we were already ahead in the first year. Our inspection cycle is two years, I think, and I don't believe anyone is hauling it out of the water to inspect it. The company, appropriately named Diver Down, dives on it and tells us what needs to be replaced.
