I sometimes think about steering loss 
In Response To: Interestingly ()
() and how I might handle it. I think a movable drogue (on a bridle that could be moved from side to side by adjustment with the winches) would have to be the answer, at least until I could get close enough to a harbor for a local tow. I can raise my rudder, and remove it with one bolt, so maybe I'll do a test this Spring by raising it.
It would be interesting to see how stable it would be and how close to the wind I could sail.
