The shoal and land show clearly on a huge scale and I put a marker on it.
What went wrong? What will be the answer? I predict, asleep at the wheel(i.e.-no lookout-improper navigation-driver error-etc). Same as it ever was. It's hard to blame a tool that shows them on the reef the instant they hit it.
This is a good experience for all of us to improve our systems of navigation. Every grounding is unfortunate but has good info for prevention.

- I can see that happening. I had to zoom out to 90 NM for those islands to disappear on an ipad.
