I would agree with you Dan,

But in a specific, not as much. Each boat has good and bad points, and feels different in a sea way. I know that our Nor'Sea 27 feels better than most of the 40 +/- foot boats I have sailed on. Disclosure here, NOT COUNTING CRUISE SHIPS and Navy vessels, I/we have sailed on boats up to about 45, then on a 132 foot, not any 50 to 130 footers, yet.

I think the deal is finding the right boat for you. Not discounting a boat without a research and giving it a try.
