() It's heavy aluminum and designed to protect the prop if the boat dries out. Helps protect it from front impacts too, but the 19" D prop can still snag a line at the sides. Centerboard and rudder kick up on impact. When that happens I have an oh-sh*t moment until I figure out what we hit. (show and tell
