In Response To: LOL according to Yachtworld, there is only 28 for sale "on the planet.". ()
I notice there are a couple neglected 38' Shannons for sale in the 40's. A 35 year old 28' sailboat has to be pretty special today to get top dollar.
The best deal to my eyes are the Shannon 38's with good equipment and some upgrades like new engines. An 81' Shannon 38 was just listed with a local broker and looks very nice. 2003 Westerbeke, recent enough sails, inflatable with 4hp, lightly used and maintained listed at 84k. It's price will likely be reduced this winter and somebody will get a good buy, much better than the ones now listed in the 40's, that need big $$$ to equal this one.
Great time to buy a good quality boat, the best ones in their field.
