me of the time we sailed from Spetsai over to Astros. We were walking around the town and my friend, not knowing the lay of the land if you will, asked the old woman behind the counter of the olive store if these were "Kalamata Olives". When all of a sudden, here is this little old lady all dressed in black, looking like someone's story book grandmother, ripping my friend a new A%^#$%. The bottom line was, "NO! these are Astros olives"! They really take their olives seriously! I think it was while we were in Spetsai when I went into a pizza shop right across the street from where we were med moored and ordered. While I was standing there waiting a young man came up to me and started asking me about 9-11. It was about a year later so it was still pretty fresh in everyone's minds. He ask if we were going to rebuild the towers and I told him that we would build something back but was not quite sure yet what it would be. He shifted the conversation to the "queen Lady". I told him that we had a president and not a queen but shook his head and said "No". Then he stood up taller, raises one arm into the air and brought the other arm against his chest and looked straight ahead. Then he said "the Queen Lady!" It was obvious that he was talking about the Statue of Liberty. I said, "Oh she's just fine but we call her the Statue of Liberty". He thanked me several times and turned and walked out the door still with his hand in the air reciting "statue of Liberty" over and over as he walked away. What fun memories. We had a great time in Grease. Lovely people. Some of them were just, is a bit "opinionated" the right word?
