Low 50's is a LOT of wind
In Response To: Spoke again to DISTANT STAR... ()
Especially offshore with a long fetch. What wave heights are they dealing with? Must be a bit scary, especially at night when you can't see the waves coming (especially if they're steep).
I've been out in 40-50 knots apparent several times in sheltered waters and it's not fun. Was glad to make harbor each time.
