most important considerations as I look at my 'next' boat (whatever it turns out to be). There are precious few existing interior designs that would permit a radiant heater setup that was at cabin sole level. I also look at what I might have to compromise on were I to hack up the interior to install one. I've seen plenty of bulkhead mounted ones that are at waist height or higher and that is a non starter for me. I've also seen lots of settees that would have to be compromised for sitting, sleeping or bedding and even then I couldn't get the heater low enough.

That said, there are some good ones out there as Tom's boat illustrates. Combining them with my 'other' requirements becomes the real challenge.
