Nah, I imagine most of the watch will be kept from the settees inside the deckhouse... (grin)
In Response To: Regarding that Kantner ()

Hi Rich,

You're right, but that's a problem I have with most any boat I run these days... Even many traditional aft cockpit boats, it's amazing how restricted visibility forward can be when sitting in the cockpit, largely a consequence of designing boats from the inside/out...

I expect you'd be doing a lot of sighting THROUGH that deckhouse on that boat... But it appears those deckhouse windows might be tinted, which can be a major problem at night... I've run boats with tinted doghouse/hard dodger windows, and it's shocking how much they can diminish your visibility at night...

I remember back when CW did a 'Yacht Style' feature on this Globe Girdler, it devoted an inordinate amount of copy to how cleverly Kanter mounted the giant plasma screen on some sort of hideaway hydraulic lifting mechanism... (grin)

Hell, on this boat, looks like the biggest challenge to visibility from the helm will be looking BEHIND you...

LMAO!

best regards,

Jon
