I'm out of it these days. How many here- first boat was 45 to 50 feet, or even 40'?

() 45 to 50' seems like a big place to start but I could be more used to this area of the country. However, 45 to 50 feet doesn't sound all that big for a serious off shore cruising boat to me anymore. I wouldn't consider living and sailing for even a few years on a smaller boat than that, I've grown soft.
