Downsizing here - and changed boat types along the way 
In Response To: Moving up (or down) ()
I started with a 27, grew that up to a 42, and have been working my way back ever since. My next boat will probably be a 28; down from my current 31. However, to be fair my sailing style has also significantly changed from one of cruising to mostly day sailing and now I'm a trailer sailor. Decreasing in size makes that easier.

- Could you attribute this to many boomers having the means today to do this, and these are not their first boats.
