and run the engine as a salt water cooled engine? A couple of hoses you could scavenge from somewhere and you're off and running. My Cape dory had a salt water cooled Volvo for years and it worked fine. Don't over think a problem FGS. I once ran an engine for weeks using a bilge pump. I flooded the bilge, pumped the water out of the bilge via the bilge pump that I had hooked up to the engine. I increased the rpm's on the engine until the engine started to heat up. I closed the engine through hull valve until the water flooding the bilge was the same as the amount the engine was pumping out and off we went. This seems to be an easy fix. They just need to think it out.
