() Hey, stuff happens. And when it does, it's nice to have someone nearby.
A friend recently completed the ARC circumnavigation. One of the boats in the fleet hit something on the way to New Zeeland - boat went under in 30 minutes. My friend and two others converged on the distressed vessel and took the crew aboard. The sinking could have had a whole different outcome without the nearby ARC fleet.
